Soak up the panoramic views of Lake Lugano, from this airy apartment for 6. To the south of the charming town of Melide, the first-floor apartment makes a wonderful holiday retreat for friends and family who want to relax and explore this beautiful area.

The stylish, contemporary apartment is airy and bright thanks to the large windows that bring the panoramic views of the lake and mountains inside. The elegant, open-plan living room is furnished with a sofa, flat-screen TV and a dining table. The sleek kitchen is at the rear of the room and is equipped with an induction hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, toaster and a Nespresso coffee machine.

Glass doors lead onto the private balcony furnished with a café-style table and chairs. Here guests can enjoy their breathtaking surroundings; the sparkling blue lake and the unspoiled mountains on the other side.

Guests have access to a shared garden on the lakeshore. Here they will find sun loungers, plus tables and chairs for meals al fresco.

Standort
The apartment is across the road from the shores of Lake Lugano, just a 2-minute drive from the centre of Melide. The town is in a spectacular setting, at the foot of steep, forested hills and the end of a causeway across Lake Lugano. Here, guests will find a supermarket and other amenities, as well as beaches for lake swimming and promenades along the lake shore. It is best known for Swissminiatur, a model village featuring all of Switzerland’s most famous landmarks. It is a great day out for all the family.

The Piazza della Riforma is the heart of Lugano (13 minutes drive) and the ideal place for an aperitivo or espresso whilst you watch the world go by. The city of Lugano is well known for its rich cultural heritage. It is home to many museums and galleries. One of the most popular is MASI (the Museum of Art of Italian Switzerland) (11-minute drive) hosts regular contemporary art exhibitions.

Parco San Grato (16-minute drive), high in the hills, offers visitors a chance to immerse themselves in nature, with beautiful, themed hikes and stunning views over the lake. There is plenty for children to do, including hand-crafted swings, a playground and special star gazing evenings.

The closest international airports are in Italy – Milan Malpensa 50 minutes away by car, or Milan Linate, a 1 hour and 10 minute journey.
