On the second-floor of an Art Nouveau building from the 1920’s that has been expertly renovated, the apartment sleeps 2 people. It offers a unique and evocative stay, surrounded by nature and silence, with a breathtaking panoramic view that stretches from the Gulf of Lugano along Lake Ceresio to the peaks of Monte Rosa.

The retreat is perfect for solo hikers or couples looking for an intimate passageway retreat. Equipped with a French double bed, it has a dining column with a refrigerator and microwave, a pull-out table/desk and an open closet. With a Smart TV, Nespresso machine and high-speed Wi-Fi, you’ll have everything you need for a convenient and relaxing stay.

Bicycles and e-bikes can be rented from the Funicular staff during opening hours and subject to availability, taking advantage of reduced rates reserved for guests.

Attention to reach the property, you can either take the funicular for free by showing your reservation or by car, including an 11-minute walk. Be sure to arrive on time because the funicular is not open all day. As an additional option, there is a municipal parking lot Centro Esposizioni, in Lugano Cassarate, available under special conditions.

Since the apartments are not directly accessible by car, it is advisable to shop in Lugano before since other than the essentials provided in the welcome kit, the availability of stores on-site is limited.

The apartments are served and accessible by the historic Monte Brè Funicular, which connects the centre of Lugano with the neighbourhoods on the mountain until it reaches the Vetta, which contributes to an overall unique experience. About a 20-minute walk from the “Treasures of the Summit,” the picturesque Brè neighbourhood, with its cobblestone streets and quaint old houses, is known to have been a place of inspiration for many artists.

Art enthusiasts can visit the famous museum of artist Wilhelm Schmid. For nature lovers and hikers, there are numerous trails and paths suitable for all levels of physical fitness.
Attractions such as the village of Gandria and SwissMiniatur are within a 10- to 15-minute drive.

The lively Piazza della Riforma, full of cosy bistros and cafés, is just 25 minutes away by car and offers a great spot to unwind. If you’re a jazz enthusiast, don’t miss Estival Jazz, a free open-air festival held in Piazza della Riforma each summer. It’s a must-see event for music lovers in the heart of Lugano.
The closest international airport is in Italy – Milan Malpensa 1 hour away by car.
