A very stylish, air-conditioned apartment in central Lugano. On a side street, this apartment, which sleeps 4 people, is a comfortable base, whether you are visiting the city for work or pleasure.

This light-filled apartment is on the third floor (with a lift), and has pale wooden floors throughout. The spacious living room with an open-plan kitchen and dining area has windows on two walls and large a glass door, leading onto a balcony overlooking the street. There is a large sofa (which converts into a double bed), coffee table and a Smart TV.

The modern, open-plan, kitchen is equipped with everything you might need for your stay: an induction hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and a Nespresso machine. Next to the kitchen is a dining table with 4 chairs for relaxed dining.

Bedroom 1: The bright master bedroom has a comfortable double bed and spacious storage.
Extra: The sofa in the living room converts into a double bed.

Localisation
The apartment is in a quiet, but extremely central part of Lugano. The lakeside, with its famous promenade, is just a 5-minute walk away. A day trip on the Lago di Lugano, sailing between Switzerland and Italy is a must, as is an aperitivo in the city’s main square, Piazza della Riforma (an 8-minute walk). The piazza is lined with many excellent cafés and restaurants.

In the Italian-speaking canton of Ticino, on the borders of Switzerland and Italy, Lugano has a rich cultural heritage. MASI (the Museum of Art of Italian Switzerland) hosts regular contemporary art exhibitions. There are many festivals throughout the year, including “Luganomusica” every summer.

For guests who want to self-cater, the farmers’ market (Tuesdays and Fridays) in Via Carducci (5 minutes walk) is the place to go to pick up the best local ingredients.

The closest international airports are in Italy – Milan Malpensa 1 hour and 10 minutes away by car, or Milan Linate, a 1 hour and 20-minute journey. Arriving by train? Lugano’s railway station is a 12-minute walk from the apartment.
